VINTAGE CONDITIONS

Ideal warm and sunny conditions through flowering and fruit set established healthy crops of fruit throughout most South Australian regions. Cooler conditions followed with above average rainfall throughout Spring and in to summer, building large, strong canopies and slowing ripening. One of the most challenging final ripening periods ensured throughout March and April with the large crops and an already delayed maturation running in to the cool and damp autumn period. Grenache gradually developed the bright and vibrant fruit characters required for this style and was havested towards the end of March.

NOSE/AROMA

Restrained peach tea and strawberry combine with lifted florals and savoury spice.

PEAK DRINKING

Enjoy within 12 months.

WINEMAKING & MATURATION

The grapes were picked in the cool of the early morning and crushed immediately into stainless steel fermenters. After draining off skins, the wine was fermented at a cool temperature over a 14 day period. After fermentation, the wine was matured on gross lees for a period of four months to gain additional texture.

PALATE

Bright fresh red berry fruits, peaches and nectarine, soft textural mid palate and crisp, grapefruit freshening finish perfectly balanced with a touch of residual sweetness.

ENJOY

Made especially to enhance your favourite food, especially white fish, Asian stir fries and your favourite desert.
