WINEMAKING
The fermenting wine was left in contact with skins for 7–10 days after crushing for optimum colour and flavour extraction. After fermentation; the wines were matured in contact with oak for 6 - 9 months prior to bottling.
PALATE
A rich and intense palate of ripe dark fruits complimented by velvety tannins, delivering a balanced finish.
COLOUR
Deep ruby with a purple hue.
AROMA
Concentrated ripe blackberry currants and cherry fruits with black pepper and light cinnamon spice complimented by chocolate and mocha notes.
VINTAGE
The growing season showed dry and cool conditions. It was slightly wet in early January, which allowed for prolonged ripening conditions. Vines ripened at a steadier rate due to this weather followed by a warm to hot February with cool nights and it remained relatively dry into early April.
ENJOY WITH
Made for enjoying with; memorable occasions and get-togethers with family and friends. The ripe fruit and soft, round tannins of the Shiraz perfectly complement the flavours of braised pork. The spice notes enhance the BBQ flavours.
WINEMAKER NOTE
A selection of premium fruit has produced a vibrant, rich and generous wine that retains its delicacy and elegance.
AGEING
You can drink it now but Pepperbox has a cellaring potential up to 2026.
